(talking about the worst deaths in BT fiction....) Starting with a quote within a quote...
"Hanse's (Davion's) death was poetic justice incarnate! That's one of my favorite deaths in all of BT literature"
Replied to inside the quote of "I didn't mind the consequences...not at all! I just would have preferred that Hanse's death included a little more cunning from Sun Tzu's (Liao's) side, not just plain luck. For what his death meant I found it a little stupid how it occured."
Then the actual poster said.....
"Luck!?? Do you know how long we had a Mask mole installed in the Royal Palace kitchens on New Avalon with standing orders to help Hanse cheat on his diet? Who do you think was asking him "Do you want fries with that?" at breakfast, brunch, lunch, high tea, dinner, supper and his midnight snack?
Sun Tzu only sent the wedding announcement disk after the latest report on Hanse's triglyceride count came back through intel channels. It was the second time (the first being during McCarron's Armored Cavalry's Long March in 3020) that House Davion was brought low by a Big Mac Attack!"
BOOOO HISSSSS! BAD JOKE AND BAD TASTE!
("History" note.... (First) Prince Hanse Davion died during the Clan invasion of 3049-51. The wedding announcement mentioned is that between Chancellor Sun Tzu Liao of the Cappellan Confederation and, at that date, the only healthy heir to the Captain Generalcy of the Free Worlds League, Isis Marik. This was done 20 years after the Fourth Succession War when the wedding of Hanse Davion and Melissa Steiner set off 4SW and conquered half of the Confederation to create the Sarna March...later after the Lyran half of FedCom seceeded, Sarna March became known as the "Chaos March")
